BANGOR — About 100 people were indicted by the Penobscot County grand jury on Wednesday, most of them on drug, theft and domestic violence charges.
Among those indicted was a man accused of assaulting someone with a Bible in Bangor.
Benjamin Parker, 27, is charged with two counts of robbery and one count of assault after police say he tried to steal a car on West Broadway.
He was arrested back in August.
Also indicted was 34-year-old Matthew Cole of Prentiss, who is charged with two counts of domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing, among others.
The charges stem from a family fight in May.
The grand jury also formally charged two people in connection with a box full of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and meth that Old Town police found in August.
Michael Beal, 37, of Old Town and Danielle McBreairty, 30, of Glenburn are each charged with six counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and numerous other charges.
