PITTSFIELD – More than a dozen people were indicted by the Somerset County Grand Jury last week.
Among them was a Pittsfield-area transient who’s been charged with kidnapping, domestic violence terrorizing, and assaulting an officer, among other charges.
Kristopher McWilliams, 32, was indicted on a total of seven counts in connection with a domestic violence incident on August 8 at Carriage Estates mobile home park in Pittsfield involving a woman and her daughter, according to Pittsfield Police Chief Pete Bickmore.
Bickmore said when Officer Hunter Quinlan responded and tried to arrest McWilliams, he allegedly headbutted Quinlan, giving him a concussion that put him out of work for two months.
Bickmore said McWilliams also kicked out one of the rear windows in the police cruiser and damaged another door, causing about $4,000 worth of damage.
