BLUE HILL (AP) – A new report shows a hospital in Blue Hill failed to properly protect medical records.
According to the Associated Press, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services say Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital was “not in substantial compliance” with requirements during July inspections.
Confidential records in the hospital’s wound clinic were improperly stored in a closet where cleaning staff could access them.
The report also noted unsanitary dish conditions, an issue that was corrected in August.
The hospital has reportedly submitted a plan to fix the record storage problems.
