BANGOR – The two Bangor men arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing the Acadia Federal Credit Union appeared via video conference before a judge in Bangor today.
28 year-old Corey Violette and 43 year-old Earl Torrence were arrested and charged with robbery.
Police said Violette was also found to be in possession of a firearm when he was taken into custody.
According to Violette’s attorney, his client was unaware a robbery had taken place as Torrence had told him he needed to go to the bank to cash a check.
Judge Anderson set bail for both Torrence and Violette at 10 thousand dollars.
Both are scheduled to be back in court on August 11th.
