FRIENDSHIP – A rollover crash in Friendship sent two people to the hospital according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
Knox Regional Communications Center received the call for the crash on Cushing Road around 2:45 Saturday morning.
The sheriff said two people were trapped inside the car when police arrived and a utility pole had been broken and was laying in the roadway.
The driver, 43-year-old Robyn Hyler, was taken to the hospital for serious injuries. The passenger in the car, 50-year-old Michael McGuire, was also taken for minor injuries according to the Knox County Sheriff.
The road was closed for over five hours according to the release.
The Knox County Sheriff said the crash is still under investigation but police said speed and road conditions are contributing factors to the crash.
