STATEWIDE — Gov. Janet Mills announced Wednesday that another $164 million in federal COVID-19 relief funds will be divided among the state’s school systems.
This funding, combined with the $165 million in COVID-19 relief earlier sent to Maine schools, brings the total being sent to schools to $329 million so far this year.
According to the statement from the governor’s office, the money helps school systems make sure COVID-19 health and safety guidelines are followed.
The money will be sent to schools beginning next week.
