AUGUSTA (WGME) – Monday, lawmakers will return to Augusta for a special session, and they’re expecting to address funding for a number of major projects.
Bonds will dominate the discussion.
The more than $163 million in proposed borrowing will help cover funding for the MaineDOT’s 2020 transportation project plan, as well as millions for broadband expansion in rural parts of the state.
If approved by the legislature, those bond proposals will be sent to voters on the November ballot.
That special session starts Monday at 10 a.m.
