STATEWIDE – An April storm bringing snow, sleet, rain and wind has left many Mainers without power.
As of 8:00 a.m. Friday, Central Maine Power was reporting outages affecting more than 201,000 customers.
Around the same time, Emera Maine’s website showed more than 55,900 customers without power.
The storm also made travel tricky on roadways across the state.
Earlier in the day Thursday, officials at both utility companies said they had crews ready to restore power as quickly as possible, especially since many residents are either working or accessing schoolwork from home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The storm is expected to last until the middle of the day Friday.
