WARREN – A Maine State Prison employee has tested positive for the coronavirus.
That announcement was made by Department of Corrections Commissioner Randall Liberty Tuesday afternoon.
According to Liberty, the department was notified Tuesday morning of the employee’s positive COVID-19 test result.
The person works at the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren.
Liberty says the person had been self-quarantining at home since March 20.
Liberty says the Maine Center for Disease Control indicated anyone in close contact with the infected worker has been notified.
