MILLINOCKET — A group of local residents who support Deputy Chief Janet Theriault in her workplace harassment complaint against the police chief is organizing a Saturday motorcade to show their support.
Earlier this week Town Manager John Davis dismissed the 65-page harassment complaint against Police Chief Craig Worster and the police department union responded by asking the town council to conduct its own investigation.
The “Support for Janet” group has been doing daily vehicle parades for the last few weeks, said an organizer Susan D’Alessandro.
“We resorted to having motorcades and we’re driving past the town councilor’s houses because we feel like the ball is in their court,” she said Friday.
The motorcade is scheduled to leave Stearns High School at 6 p.m.
D’Alessandro said the route from the school through town, past the councilor’s homes and back to the school takes about half an hour.
