CLINTON – A 17-year-old has been charged in the deaths of three teenagers killed in a car crash in Clinton earlier this year.
Somerset County District Attorney Maeghan Maloney said Timothy Silva was arrested last night.
Silva is charged with three counts of vehicular manslaughter, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and driving to endanger causing serious bodily injury.
Police said Silva was driving the car on Feb. 9 when he lost control and crashed into a tree.
Silva did not have a drivers license, police said.
Emily Baker, 14, 12-year-old Ashlin Baker, and Thomas Porfirio, 15, died in the crash.
Silva and 12-year-old Nevaeh Wilson were injured.
Maloney said Silva is being held at the Long Creek Youth Detention Center.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 9.
