ELLSWORTH – The Hancock County grand jury has brought eight indictments against a Thomaston man already facing numerous burglary charges.
When Joshua Vandine, 33, was arrested on the previous charges a year ago, police were able to fill two U-Haul trucks with allegedly stolen items taken from his home.
Police said Vandine allegedly targeted storage units in mid-coast counties over the past few years.
Ellsworth police Lt. Troy Bires said the burglaries for which Vandine was most recently charged were discovered in Ellsworth in December 2017.
According to Bires, Vandine may be responsible for dozens of burglaries throughout the state.
Bires said the property taken from the Ellsworth storage units was valued at about $1,000.
Vandine is expected to appear in Hancock County court later this month to answer to the most recent charges.
