BANGOR – Over the winter, the Knights of Columbus in Bangor held a baby bottle drive as part of an effort to raise money for an ultrasound machine.
A ceremony was held Tuesday at the First Step Pregnancy Resource Center to dedicate the new unit.
According to a statement from the group, the unit, which is worth more than $43,000, will help future mothers to make decisions about unexpected pregnancies.
“We believe that a woman is going to make a decision that will affect her for the rest of her life. She deserves to know the truth about what is happening inside her body,” said Penni Hill, executive director of First Step Pregnancy Resource Center.
A statement said the old unit is headed to a clinic in need in South America.
