STATEWIDE – The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to climb in Maine, according to a midday update posted Tuesday on the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website.
The total of confirmed cases has broken the 500 mark, rising to 519 from Monday’s 499, according to the Maine CDC.
The new total included two additional deaths attributed to the illness, bringing the state’s death toll to 12, state health officials said.
Meanwhile, 176 Mainers have recovered.
