STATEWIDE – The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is still rising, according to an update posted late Wednesday morning on the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website.
The total of confirmed cases has hit 537, up 28 from Tuesday, according to the Maine CDC.
The new total included two additional deaths attributed to the illness, bringing the state’s death toll to 14, state health officials said. One of those new deaths was the first attributed to coronavirus in Waldo County.
Meanwhile, 187 Mainers have recovered from the illness.
