BANGOR – An “Out of the Darkness” Walk took place this Sunday on the Bangor Waterfront.
They’re held all over by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the money raised goes toward their efforts.
Sunday’s walk raised about $20,000.
For many of those who participated it was personal.
“By coming together as a community, we’re really, really able to make changes and be leaders in our community, and I‘m always really proud of Bangor and the turnout we have and the funds we raise,” said Danielle Spelios, the chair of the Bangor walk.
