Baileyville- A traffic stop in Baileyville Monday night led to the arrest of a Washington County woman on drug trafficking charges.
According to a statement from the regional commander of the Maine Drug Enforcement agency, Kayla Thistlewood,27, of Baileyville, was stopped as part of an ongoing investigation.
The statement says a Washington County k-9 detected narcotics in the car.
After drug agents searched the car, agents say they seized nearly 43 grams of crack cocaine valued at forty three hundred dollars and 235 grams of heroin laced with fentanyl, believed to have a street value of more than seventy thousand dollars.
Police say Thistlewood had her two children –ages one and four — in the car.
They were placed with relatives.
Thistlewood was taken to the Washington County jail where she is being held with bail set at 10 thousand dollars.
