NEW SHARON — State fire investigators are asking for the public’s help with information about an early Tuesday morning fatal fire.
Someone reported the blaze at 198 Mile Hill Road at 2:48 a.m. and responding firefighters found a deceased female in the debris.
According to a news release from the Maine State Police, officials believe the woman is 59-year-old Shaina Shaylin-Begin, who lived alone at the residence.
Investigators from the state fire marshal’s office responded and took over the case.
The remains were taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Augusta for an autopsy.
While there is no indication of foul play, investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them.
