BANGOR – The Feztival of Trees is now underway at the Anah Shrine, which is the organization’s largest fundraising event, but a group of woman will be there while it runs creating handmade wreaths to help raise even more money.
Every day of the Feztival, Kathy Hoke will be selling live and artificial wreaths.
She started creating the wreaths because she says she loves Christmas. It’s fun for her to be at the event and she says it’s all for a great cause.
“This organization does great things for children, for the orthopedic hospitals, the burn hospitals, and they’re nationwide,” Hoke said. “They take a child from anywhere, it doesn’t even have to be from the United States. They treat them for no cost.”
Hoke says the wreaths, both artificial and real, are $25.
All of the money raised will go right back to the Shriners.
